Phuket, located in southern Thailand, is a stunning tropical island that has become one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.
Known for its crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and rich cultural heritage, Phuket attracts visitors from all over the world.
Phuket is Thailand's largest island, stretching over 50 kilometers from north to south, with a population of around 400,000 people – and 30 beaches to boot!
The island has a rich history that dates back over 1,000 years, with a mix of Thai, Chinese, and Malay influences. Phuket's Old Town, located in the heart of the island, is a living testament to this history, with its charming Sino-Portuguese architecture, narrow streets, and colorful markets.
Phuket has something for everyone, from luxury resorts to backpacker hostels, from gourmet restaurants to street food markets, and from serene temples to bustling nightclubs.
However, because of its size and diverse locations, it can be difficult to know where to stay. So, in this guide, I'll provide you with a detailed overview of all the main areas in Phuket, enabling you to choose the area that best suits your holiday or relocating requirements.
